Computer laboratories at tertiary educational institutions need to be flexible and easy to manage, as they typically cater for a wide range of needs. This article describes how a particular virtual laboratory environment can be extended to include server-based virtualization. It explores some of the major technical challenges of implementing one particular hypervisor and associated management software, specifically to deploy a set of virtual machines that form part of a particular course, as this is one of the envisaged uses for this technology. It goes on to suggest a number of solutions and includes two scripts that can serve as templates for automating the creation and removal of sets of student virtual machines.

Redes: Revista de estudios sociales de la ciencia, 18 (34), 59-84. ; El objetivo general de este artículo es ofrecer una comprensión sobre la multiplicidad radical presente en la psicología como una red de teorías y prácticas diversas, y asimismo contradictorias entre sí. Para ello, presentaremosinicialmente una discusión epistemológica sobre la multiplicidad radical, destacando la forma en que este debate está vinculado al de la cientificidad de la psicología. A continuación, se planteará otro modo de considerar esta multiplicidad radical, tomando como base la teoría Actor-Red de Bruno Latour, Annemarie Mol y John Law, así como la Epistemología Política de Isabelle Stengers y Vicianne Despret. Se partirá de la consideración de las diversas psicologías como dispositivos de producción ontológica de subjetividades. Se mostrará finalmente un conjunto de trabajos de investigacióndtratando de evaluar la presencia y las formas de subjetivación psicologizadas entre estudiantes adolescentes de la ciudad de Río de Janeiro. En el apartado de conclusiones serán discutidos los resultados de esta investigación teniendo en cuenta las propias políticas ontológicas presentes en la elección de los métodos utilizados. ; The aim of this article is to produce a general comprehension about the radical multiplicity of psychology as a network of different and evencontradictory theories and practices. First, we will present the epistemological discussion about this radical multiplicity, emphasizing how this debate is linked to the question about the scientific status of psychology. Then, this radical multiplicity will be considered under a different light by using Bruno Latour, Annemarie Mol and John Law's Actor-Network Theory; and Isabelle Stengers and Vinciane Despret's Political Epistemology approach. Starting by considering the different psychologies as subjectivity production devices, we introduce a group of research works aimed to detect the presence of these psychologized subjectivities –and their types–, among teenage high-school students from Rio de Janeiro. The research results are discussedat the conclusion, considering the ontological policies that were involved in the methodological choices.
